As of July 15, I have completed my thesis and all of my coursework towards my MFA in Creative Writing from The University of British Columbia, Canada's best graduate writing program. It's a big deal for many reasons, but most importantly because it got me writing like a madman for two years, connected me with all sorts of amazing writers, and allows me to teach at Redeemer, my alma mater.
That's me holding my thesis (a novel called BOY) just before ringing the "Thesis Bell," a fine UBC creative writing tradition.
So I guess everyone can call me "Master." (Which they won't, of course.)
