If you're interested in supporting the local #hamont literary and arts community, consider attending the (Free!) Short Works Prize awards ceremony, on September 27, at 1:00pm. I and the other winners will be giving short readings of our award-winning work. Should be fun!

"Mum 2 Mum," my short story which first appeared in The Dalhousie Review, has won the 2015 Short Works Prize!
Also, "Finding Iraq," a piece of creative nonfiction that appeared in The New Quarterly, has been awarded an honourable mention in the same contest.
A big thanks goes out to The Hamilton Public Library, Bryan Prince Bookseller, and Hamilton Arts & Letters for running this important Hamilton-centric literary prize. It's an honour to be associated with it.
